As we celebrate the women month, #break the bias, I KUNDAI CHIKONZO women miner would like to thank Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association (ZELA). Thank you so much for the valuable training that ZELA as an organisation gave me, I am now taking opportunities because of the experience and personable presentations we were doing during our trainings sessions with ZELA.
Thank you for the workshop trainings they were really helpful and I thought I should share the goods news that I was appointed as one of the 8 Global Advocacy Team members whose goal , as a team is to organise communities and leaders in community led development and support with training with theme , “ending poverty should come from communities. They should not impose projects but hear what communities think would end their poverty”, through International Accountability Project. Your training sessions were amazing that as a woman, I was able to apply, get interviewed and got selected, from 146 applications which were coming from 40 countries.
The confidence that I got from your Women Can Do It trainings has made me get an opportunity to continue proving that Women Can Do it and serve the community. Now I can train the women in Insiza, through a registered trust called INSIZA WOMEN IN MINING TRUST, which I am the founder, the training sessions which were focusing on VOICE, DECENT WORK, RESPONSIBLE SOURCING and LEADERSHIP. Thank you Team ZELA, Special thanks goes to Nyaradzo, Joyce, Josephine,Joshua,Fadzai, just to mention a few.
