Sengwa coal fired project

ZELA over the past few months has been working on the proposed coal fired project case. The information relating to the massive proposed coal fired project is still enshrouded in secrecy to the detriment of the Sengwa community and the country at large. ZELA has therefore served letters on the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority, Environmental Management Agency, RioZIM and the Ministry of Mines. The information that is being requested relates to the climate change, environmental and socio and economic implications of the project to the Sengwa people and the country at large. We have partly received information from ZERA and EMA and we are still waiting for information from RIOZIM and Ministry of Mines.
